LOVE ZION BAPTIST CHURCH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL.
The Love Zion Baptist Church Christian Education Ministry mission is to educate and edify the body of Christ by providing traditional and specialized training that will stimulate and cultivate spiritual growth toward a healthy holistic Christian lifestyle encompassing teaching for mind, body, and soul, facilitating the discipleship of believers and yielding Christlikeness to the glory of God.
We strive to achieve this while cultivating a sense of spiritual and personal excellence. As such we offer the following classes and aspire to continue in providing courses that stimulate spiritual growth.
M101 – Falling in Love Course:
This course is mandatory for all New Members/Believers of the Love Zion Baptist Church and candidates for Baptism. It is also designed for people desiring to serve on ministries and all those who need a refresher course in the foundational doctrine of our faith. It is open to all who desire to learn the fundamentals of their faith. The course seeks to answer the question, “Now that I’m Saved, now what?” You will be working with experienced and knowledgeable instructors who will educate you on Salvation, Jesus, Regeneration, Justification, The Bible, Sanctification, The Church, and more. You will be encouraged to ask questions you’ve always wanted answers to and be challenged to discuss theologies in an intimate classroom setting.
This one-day course requires four hours of your time. Upon course completion, you’ll receive a certificate, gift, and Baptism, if applicable.
M102 – Back in Love Course (Restoration):
This restoration class is for those who are seeking to restore their relationship with God from an inactive or backslidden state. It is also for the stagnated believer who feels their Christian walk is at a standstill. This course gets down to the real, addressing those things that stand between you and God. It focuses on identifying, acknowledging, and setting aside obstacles that hinder your spiritual growth and ultimately your relationship with God. This course will teach you practical spiritual tools and disciplines that will anchor you in Christ, help you experience spiritual freedom, and develop the skills needed to develop, cultivate, and articulate your testimony. If you’re tired of the same old cyclic sin ruling your life and are ready to do something about it, this class is for you.
You will not walk alone but will have the confidence and support of your cohort, instructor, and the Love Zion Baptist Church community. All that is needed is your commitment to complete the journey.
G100 – Sunday School Classes (General Assembly):
These classes are for all those not participating in a modular course curriculum. They address the overall body of believers in an easy-to-follow format. They are topical from the Urban Ministries Curriculum designed from an African American perspective.
We utilize the following resources from Urban Ministries to address all levels of Christian education for the whole family:
-Precepts for Living is a resource used by our adult class teachers (Men & Women) to give a deeper understanding and application of the truth of God’s Word based on the texts outlined in the International Uniform Bible Lessons series, it provides a full year of in-depth Bible study.”
-Directions: Students 21 and older are taught from this manual designed for
convenient and comprehensive lessons that are outlined with in-depth information and explanation of scripture. It’s used to discover and demonstrate God’s truth. Also, Inteen (Teens), Junior Way (ages 9-12), and Primary Street (ages 6-8) are specifically designed to engage each age group in an innovative and practical way.
M201 – Growing in Love (Discipleship):
This course is directed to assist in living life as a disciple. Here you will embark upon a two years study that will cultivate your walk and ministry as Believers following Christ Jesus. An intense study through Biblical beliefs, Theological readings and Christian ideologies and practices that will ignite your love for God and one another. A study pertinent to the servant leader and those desiring to grow in Christ. Coming September 2025…
G101 – Jesus Loves the Little Children (52 week curriculum):
Our Pre-School Class was specifically designed for children between the ages of 3-5. It is a fun filled weekly bible teaching that encompasses children bible commentaries, story books, activities, videos, songs, and games that introduce and explain Biblical stories and characters. It provides a biblical basis for moral behaviors and foundational principles. These lessons teach children that God is a part of their everyday lives, and that Jesus loves the little children.
G102 – Let’s Go Deeper (Weekly Bible Study):
This class is a Wednesday evening spinoff from the previous Sunday morning sermon given by Pastor Clarence E. Wright. In this class further instruction and a deeper knowledge of the sermon context and meaning is given through an in-depth comprehensive theological study and open dialogue. Here you are afforded an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences which exponentially enhance critical thinking and expand understanding.
